Dr. Onur Yaman was born in Germany in 1976. He was graduated from Ege University Faculty of Medicine in 2001. He became Associate Professor of Neurosurgery in 2015.

Dr. Yaman is the alumni of TOBB University of Economics and Technology, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Clinical Biomechanics Laboratory, Post Doc program. He is an active member of Clinical Biomechanics Group since 2013. Dr. Yaman contributed to over than 15 design innovation projects during his post-doctoral studies. He is the inventor of new spinal laminoplasty plate and holding the patent rights.

He had research fellowship in Ankara Spine Center in 2013. He has been working at Koç University, Department of Neurosurgery since 2015. He has also been the host of the “Travelling Fellowship of Turkish Spine Society”. He is the author of 77 scientific articles (51 international, 21 national), editor of 1 book, author of 23 national book chapters. He has presented 30 papers in international meetings and 21 in national meetings. He had also lots of presentation awards. (2013, 2014, 2015, 2016)

Dr. Yaman is the expert reviewer for numerous scientific journals indexed in Science Citation Index.

Dr. Yaman is the scientific committee member for Medical Devices Development Program of the Turkish Scientific and Technological Research Council (TUBITAK). He is also serving to TUBITAK as expert reviewer for the Technology based industrial projects.

He is the member of 8 national and international medical societies. He is also the founder of Bosphorus Spine Study Group (National) and Mediterenenan Spine Study Group (International).
